Quality policy
P/F THOR is committed to be an innovative, trustworthy and creative company providing a safe and reliable service.
In order to achieve this the company has chosen to adopt,as a basic minimum requirement of its management system, the internationally recogised ISO 9001/2000 standard.
"ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements."
The company acknowledges that it is through its employees that the quality, trust and progress of the company are realised.
Determination to carry out work of high quality and to maintain a constant improvement of the company's services, submitting ideas for implementing improvements and modifications, is an important part of the job.
P/F THOR places emphasis on maintaining a level of quality which is always amongst the best on the market and in accordance with the wishes and interests of our customers.
Safety and Environmental policy
P/F THOR will provide safe and good working conditions for its employees and will ensure that all its activities are on the highest recognised level of safety and environmental protection.
To ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, avoidance of damage to the environment and to property, P/F THOR has adopted the International Management Code for Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention: International Safety Management (ISM) Code.
The company will always comply with national and international regulations and guidelines and work according to "good practise".
P/F THOR considers it is most important that all employees comply at all times with the policy of the company and work according to the company's safety and environmental system, and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves, their colleagues, the environment, the ship and its cargo.
P/F THOR regards it important that the managers, masters and relevant responsible persons are made aware of any faults and of necessary improvements.

The QSE policy is implemented by:
- Ensuring that all employees participate in constantly improving the company's services raising them to the highest recognised levels of quality, safety and environmental protection.
- Ensuring that all employees are familiar with their responsibilities and are encouraged to participate in promoting reasonable, effective, high quality, safe and environmentally friendly operations, as defined in the procedures.
- Keeping all personnel fully informed of any known or potential hazards that may affect themselves, their colleagues, the environment or the ship.
- The company working strictly according to the quality system which identifies problems, defines solutions, implements improvements and carries out reviews.
- The company emphasising that all employees receive proper and appropriate training and giving possibilities for the advancement of all individuals' knowledge, including further education and training.
- Carrying out regular maintenance and regular meetings to evaluate and improve all activities.
- Continually reviewing and evaluating the relevance and adequacy of all policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the system is adhered to and developed.
- Continuously reviewing all mandatory rules, regulations, industry codes and guidelines that are relevant to specific ship types and trades.
